Electric potential changes prior to shear fracture in dry and saturated rocks [PDF]
Electric potential changes before shear rupture were measured using Darley Dale sandstone (quartz-rich) and Icelandic basalt (quartz-free) on both dry specimens and in the presence of pore fluid.

International audienceThe coseismic surface displacement field and slip distribution at depth due to the Kashmir earthquake (Mw = 7.6, 2005) have been analysed by different authors using subpixel correlation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images and ...

Coseismic Offsets due to Intermediate Depth 16 April 2013 Southeast Iran Earthquake (M-w 7.8)
The 16 April 2013 southeast Iran earthquake (M-w 7.8) is the second major earthquake in the region, including the Makran subduction zone, since 1945. This intraslab earthquake, within the subducting Arabian plate, occurred as a result of normal faulting ...

On 8 September 2023, an Mw 6.8 earthquake struck the High Atlas Mountains in western Morocco, where the tectonic regime has been poorly investigated due to its remoteness and weaker seismicity compared to the northern plate boundary.

Spatial Inference of Coseismic Slip on the Cascadia Subduction Zone [PDF]

Limited Shallow Slip in the 1938 MS 8.3 Alaska Peninsula Earthquake Rupture
The 1938 MS 8.3 and 2021 MW 8.2 earthquakes both ruptured within the Semidi segment of the Aleutian‐Alaska subduction zone. The large‐slip distribution of the 2021 event is well constrained within the depth range 25–45 km, with seaward tsunami ...

Impact of topography on coseismic modeling and earthquake static slip inversions
After an earthquake occurs, slip models of the event may be produced by inverting geodetic data for slip on a finite fault. This process generally requires coseismic Green's functions, which must be calculated in advance.

Regularized Inversion of Coseismic Slip Distribution Based on Smoothness-Constrained Model
