Coseismic Surface Deformation from Senltinel-1 Pixel Olfset Tracking of the 2025 Myanmar Mw 7.9 Earthquake

This dataset contains pixel offset tracking results derived from Sentinel-1 SAR imagery for the Mw 7.9 earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28, 2025. The data were obtained from ascending tracks T070 and T143, and descending tracks T033 and T106, covering the southern segment of the Sagaing Fault—the primary rupture zone of the earthquake.

Amounts and styles of coseismic deformation along the northern segment of surface rupture, of the 2008 Wenchuan Mw 7.9 earthquake, China

Tectonophysics, 2010
Abstract The May 12, 2008, Mw 7.9 Wenchuan earthquake occurred along the Longmen Shan fault zone, a thrust fault zone on the eastern margin of Tibet Plateau, and ruptured the ground surface for more than 200 km. A field investigation suggests that the earthquake also ruptured the northern segment (from Beichuan to Qingchuan), along which active ...

Coseismic river response to fault surface deformation.

The interaction between active tectonics and river morphodynamics is a core principle in tectonic and fluvial geomorphology. Despite the potential hazard implications, coseismic river response (CRR) remains largely unexplored and is often overlooked in earthquake multi-hazard assessments.

DInSAR coseismic surface deformation of the 2023 Mw 6.8 Al Haouz earthquake(High Atlas Mountains, Morocco)

On 8th September 2023, the Al Haouz province in Morocco was struck by a strong earthquake of 6.8 Mw. The mainshock was generated by a reverse fault with an ENE-WSW orientation, as suggested by the derived focal mechanism.  To obtain preliminary information of a seismic event, and to characterize the associated seismotectonic framework, in the ...

Novel Methods for Analyzing Problematic Geodetic Data: Applications to Coseismic Slip Modeling and Surface Deformation Mapping

In chapter 2 we describe a novel estimation methodology for estimating coseismic slip models from geodetic observations of coseismic surface deformation. We apply our method to observations from the August 9, 2020, M$_{w}$ 5.1 Sparta, North Carolina earthquake captured by ALOS-2 and Sentinel 1A/B interferograms, along with differential LiDAR.

Coseismic Surface Deformation Analysis of the 2025 Myanmar Mw 7.9 Earthquake Using Sentinel-1 Pixel Offset Tracking (POT) and Phase Unwrapping Methods

This dataset contains pixel offset tracking results and phase unwrapping data derived from Sentinel-1 SAR imagery, focusing on the Mw 7.9 earthquake that occurred in Myanmar on March 28, 2025. The data were collected from ascending tracks T070 and T143, and descending tracks T033 and T106, covering the southern segment of the Sagaing Fault, which ...
