Nonamenable subforests of multi‐ended quasi‐pmp graphs
Abstract We prove the a.e. nonamenability of locally finite quasi‐pmp Borel graphs whose every component admits at least three nonvanishing ends with respect to the underlying Radon–Nikodym cocycle. We witness their nonamenability by constructing Borel subforests with at least three nonvanishing ends per component, and then applying Tserunyan and ...

Sphere-bound-achieving coset codes and multilevel coset codes
A simple sphere bound gives the best possible tradeoff between the volume per point of an infinite array L and its error probability on an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel.

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...

Groups with a finite Busemann boundary are virtually cyclic
Abstract This note is a continuation of the study of the relationship between the geometry of Cayley graphs and the size of its metric‐functional boundary. We show that if there exists a Cayley graph with finitely many Busemann points, then the underlying group is virtually cyclic.

Double coset zeta function of some p-groups of maximal class [PDF]
openThe study of zeta functions has long been a central theme in number theory and group theory, providing deep insights into the structure and properties of various algebraic objects. Starting with the subgroup zeta function, a possible question is what

A generalisation of Cameron's base size conjecture
Abstract Let G⩽Sym(Ω)$G\leqslant {\rm Sym}(\Omega)$ be a finite transitive permutation group with point stabiliser H$H$. A base for G$G$ is a subset of Ω$\Omega$ whose pointwise stabiliser is trivial, and the minimal cardinality of a base is called the base size of G$G$, denoted by b(G,Ω)$b(G, \Omega)$. Equivalently, b(G,Ω)$b(G, \Omega)$ is the minimal

This thesis describes the theory of automatic coset systems. These provide a simple and economical way of describing a system of co- sets in a group with respect to a subgroup, such as the cosets of the stabiliser of an object under a group of ...

The consideration of wireless acceleration sensors is highly promising for cost-effective output-only system identification in the context of operational modal analysis (OMA) of large-scale civil structures as they alleviate the need for wiring. However,
