Violent exigencies emanating from primitive mental states

open access: yesBritish Journal of Psychotherapy, Volume 41, Issue 3, Page 534-549, August 2025.
Abstract Originally psychoanalytic understandings concerning the capacity to tolerate otherness were linked to the concept of narcissism. Freud (1914) had originally identified a protective stage of ‘objectless’ primary narcissism in normal development and a secondary narcissism, which involves a withdrawal of attachment to the external object.

Repealing the Eighth Amendment: Counter Stories and Storytelling for Resistance, Empowerment and Social Change in Irish Reproductive Politics

open access: yesFinancial Accountability &Management, Volume 41, Issue 3, Page 468-483, August 2025.
ABSTRACT This paper examines the pivotal role played by counter accounts in reshaping public sentiment and disrupting the power and reach of hegemonic discourse. Comparative metabolomics reveals how the severity of predation by the invasive insect Cydalima perspectalis modulates the metabolism re–orchestration of native Buxus sempervirens

open access: yesPlant Biology, Volume 27, Issue 5, Page 818-833, August 2025.
Combining NMR– and LC–HRMS–based metabolomics reveals that root and leaf metabolic changes in boxwood predated by box–tree moth occur at the same density of predation for both central and specialized metabolisms. Abstract The recent biological invasion of box tree moth Cydalima perspectalis on Buxus trees has a major impact on European boxwood stands ...

Synthesis of Molecular Organo‐f‐Element‐Polyphosphides with Nonclassical Divalent Lanthanide Precursors

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 29, July 14, 2025.
Herein we show the synthesis and characterization of organo‐f‐element‐functionalized polyanionic compounds, including the triangular P33− and the P144− polyphosphide Zintl anion. The title compounds, which are the largest organo‐f‐element polyphosphides known to date, were obtained by reduction of white phosphorus with precursors of the early ...

Exploring the Impact of Phenanthroline‐Based Glycoconjugated Ru(II) Polypyridyl Photosensitizers on Metastasis‐Related Processes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 41, July 22, 2025.
A novel family of water‐soluble, nontoxic, and phosphorescent N‐glycosylated Ru(II) phenanthroline‐based complexes are reported. They exhibit photoselectivity indexes ranging from 10 to 44 in PC‐3 cells, while impacting cell migration and resistance to detachment after irradiation with blue light.
