Copolymer Synthesis of N‐Vinylacetamide and 2‐Methylene‐1,3‐Dioxepane Provides a New Degradable Polymer

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 1306-1318, 15 March 2025.
ABSTRACT N‐vinylamides, especially noncyclic N‐vinylacetamide (NVA), have been used in various applications such as biomaterials, surfactants, and hydrogels. However, their potential to copolymerize with cyclic ketene acetal (CKA) to create degradable polymers is underexplored.

Facile, Efficient, and Safe Copper‐Free Synthesis of Glycidyl Triazolyl Polymers

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
New synthetic procedure is proposed to solve the problems in the conventional copper‐free glycidyl triazolyl polymer synthesis. For demonstrating the superiority of the new synthetic procedure, five types of glycidyl triazolyl polymers are synthesized.

Poly(Alkylene Ether)s With Nitrile Pendent Groups

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Oxirane monomers were synthesized and polymerized using the Vanderberg initiator to obtain poly(alkylene ether) nitrile polymers. These polymers have a range of thermal properties and stabilities, providing potential alternatives to nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) and hydrogenated NBR (HNBR).
