Cosine

Proceedings of the VLDB Endowment, 2021
We present a self-designing key-value storage engine, Cosine, which can always take the shape of the close to "perfect" engine architecture given an input workload, a cloud budget, a target performance, and required cloud SLAs. By identifying and formalizing the first principles of storage engine layouts and core key-value algorithms ...

Cosin

Proceedings of the 48th International Conference on Parallel Processing, 2019
Influence Maximization (IM) has been extensively applied to many fields, and the viral marketing in today's online social networks (OSNs) is one of the most famous applications, where a group of seed users are selected to activate more users in a distributed cascading fashion.

COSIN

Proceedings of the 16th ACM international conference on Multimedia, 2008
We develop a content-based audio COver Song IdeNtification (COSIN) system to detect/group cover songs. The COSIN takes music audio content as input and performs similarity searching to locate variants of the input (i.e., cover versions). Identified cover songs are returned in the rank order according to their similarity to the input.

Discrete Cosine Transform

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1974
A discrete cosine transform (DCT) is defined and an algorithm to compute it using the fast Fourier transform is developed. It is shown that the discrete cosine transform can be used in the area of digital processing for the purposes of pattern recognition and Wiener filtering.

Cosine Triples

The Mathematics Teacher, 1976
This investigation of cosine triples was instigated by a chance observation. For years I have used triangles with integral sides for the purpose of quizzing students on the law of cosines. The law of cosines states that the square of the length of any side of a triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides minus ...

COSINE Implementation Phase: COSINE project officer's view

Computer Networks and ISDN Systems, 1988
Abstract The COSINE Project is conceived in three phases, the Specification Phase lasting from July 1987 to June 1988, the Implementation Phase from January 1989 to December 1991 and the so-called Federative Phase starting in January 1992 and nominally lasting five years.
