On moments-preserving cosine families and semigroups in C[0, 1] [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Evolution Equations, 2013
We use the newly developed Kelvin's method of images \cite{kosinusy,kelvin} to show existence of a unique cosine family generated by a restriction of the Laplace operator in $C[0,1]$, that preserves the first two moments. We characterize the domain of its generator by specifying its boundary conditions.

Existence and controllability results for damped second order impulsive functional differential systems with state-dependent delay [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2014
In this paper, we investigate the existence and controllability of mild solutions for a damped second order impulsive functional differential equation with state-dependent delay in Banach spaces.

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Spectral Theory For Strongly Continuous Cosine

open access: yesConcrete Operators, 2021
Let (C(t))t∈ℝ be a strongly continuous cosine family and A be its infinitesimal generator. In this work, we prove that, if C(t) – cosh λt is semi-Fredholm (resp.

Results on exact controllability of second-order semilinear control system in Hilbert spaces

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2021
In our manuscript, we extend the controllability outcomes given by Bashirov (Math. Methods Appl. Sci. 44(9):7455–7462, 2021) for a family of second-order semilinear control system by formulating a sequence of piecewise controls.

LEAD: Literature Enhanced Ab Initio Discovery of Nitride Dusting Layers for Enhanced Tunnel Magnetoresistance and Lower Resistance Magnetic Tunnel Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

Commutativity of set-valued cosine families

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2014
AbstractLet K be a closed convex cone with nonempty interior in a real Banach space and let cc(K) denote the family of all nonempty convex compact subsets of K. If {F t: t ≥ 0} is a regular cosine family of continuous additive set-valued functions F t: K → cc(K) such that x ∈ F t(x) for t ≥ 0 and x ∈ K, then $F_t \circ F_s (x) = F_s \circ F_t (x)fors,t

When Cubic is Not Isotropic: Phonon–Exciton Decoupling in CuInSnS4 Single Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A cubic CuInSnS4 crystal does not fully play by cubic rules. While phonons follow the average iso‐tropic lattice symmetry, the disorder‐localized excitons break away, showing strong, and reproduci‐ble polarization‐dependent emission. This work shows how intrinsic cation disorder can turn a mac‐roscopically cubic material into a source of hidden ...

Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.
