On W∗-continuous cosine operator functions
This paper presents some results on the dual theory, the infinitesimal comparison, and the ergodic theory of a strongly continuous cosine operator function \(C(\cdot)\) on a Banach space. The dual theory, which is studied in section 2, is similar to that of a \((C_ 0)\)-semigroup.

Here, we develop a high‐throughput algorithm that accelerates the elucidation of phase diagrams of topological spin textures using limited computational resources at high numerical accuracy. Applying this framework to the van der Waals magnet CrSBr, we unveiled a hierarchy of previously unknown topological textures (domain‐wall bimerons, bimeron chains,

A remark on nonlinear cosine functions
Well-posed linear initial value problems of the form \(d^ 2u(t)/dt^ 2=Au(t)\), \(u(0)=x\), \((du/dt)(0)=0\) have unique solutions given by \(u(t)=C(t)x\) where the cosine function C satisfies \[ \begin{cases} C(t+s)+C(t- s)= 2C(t)C(s) \quad (t,s\in {\mathbb{R}})\\ C(0)=I.\end{cases} \tag{*} \] Linear cosine function theory is analogous to \((C_ 0 ...

Sub‐Nanometer Curvature Unlocks Quantum Orbital Flexoelectricity in Graphene
In self‐assembled, reproducible, large‐area, quasi‐pristine graphene nanowrinkles, extreme curvature forces out‐of‐plane π‐electrons toward hybridization, driving a transition from classical to quantum orbital flexoelectricity. As curvature approaches the fundamental physical limit set by the C─C bond length, the resulting polarization increases by ...

Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

Superstability of approximate cosine type functions on the monoid ℝ² [PDF]
In this paper, we study the superstability problem for the cosine type functional equation f(x₁x₂, x₁y₂ + x₂y₁) + f(x₁x₂, y₁x₂ ‒ x₁y₂) = 2 f(x₁, y₁) f(x₂, y₂) on the commutative monoid (ℝ²,X).

Giant Orbital Rashba–Edelstein Effect in Crystalline Cu2O/Cu Heterostructures
An enhanced orbital Rashba–Edelstein effect is demonstrated in a crystalline Cu2O/Cu heterostructure, compared to naturally oxidized CuOx structures, highlighting the critical role of crystallinity and interface control in orbital torque generation. The resulting spin torque conductivity exceeds that of Pt, indicating the potential of orbital torque ...
