Cosmetic blepharoplasty using an electrocauterization technique

A technique for creating thesuperior palpebral fold in Orientals and Caucasians without suture fixation to the tarsal plate is described. Essentially, the fold is created by a series of pinpoint electrocauterizations of the superficial tissues lying immediately external to the tarsus and the orbicularis oculi muscle.

Pinch Technique for Repair of Cosmetic Eyelid Deformities

A solution is present to the problem of accurately judging the amount of skin to be resected in various lid deformities. The technique is to inject hyaluronidase mixed with the local anesthetic at least 30 minutes prior to surgery and to then pinch the skin into a ridge until an eversion of the lid is about to be produced.
