Cosmetic blepharoplasty using an electrocauterization technique
Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 1976A technique for creating thesuperior palpebral fold in Orientals and Caucasians without suture fixation to the tarsal plate is described. Essentially, the fold is created by a series of pinpoint electrocauterizations of the superficial tissues lying immediately external to the tarsus and the orbicularis oculi muscle.

A technique for correct placement of incisions, a method of locating and excising orbital fat, control of bleeding and a safe method of approximating skin flaps are discussed and illustrated.
