Seasonal lake‐to‐air temperature transfer functions derived from an analysis of 1395 modern lakes: A tool for reconstructing air temperature from proxy‐derived lake water temperature

This study introduces new transfer functions, developed using statistical modelling of air temperature reanalysis data and satellite observations for 1395 modern lakes, to translate proxy‐derived lake water temperatures into air temperatures for more accurate reconstructions.
