Characteristics of Stratospheric Gravity Wave Spectra and Their Dynamic Linkage With Convection
Abstract Gravity wave (GW) spectra can visualize the energy distribution between different scales. A large amount of data from the round‐trip intelligent sounding system in southern China is used to investigate the GW vertical spectra and the poorly studied stratospheric horizontal spectra of horizontal winds.

Partially disordered Cr‐based Li‐rich oxides are developed, featuring ordered, layered‐like environments integrated through a common oxygen sublattice with cation‐mixed regions. This activates new Li+ diffusion channels, enabling these cathodes to be used in their as‐synthesized form with micron‐sized particles.

Abstract High‐resolution geospatial soil moisture measurements are needed to inform hydrological modeling and to guide water management in agriculture, especially in highly heterogeneous systems such as micro‐irrigated orchards. In this research, we used a Portable L‐band Radiometer (PoLRa) to map very high‐resolution (<2 m) soil surface moisture in ...

Testing CCC+TL Cosmology with Observed Baryon Acoustic Oscillation Features
The primary purpose of this paper is to see how well a recently proposed new model fits (a) the position of the baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) features observed in the large-scale distribution of galaxies and (b) the angular size measured for the ...

SCALING PROPERTIES OF THE COSMIC BACKGROUND PLASMA AND RADIATION [PDF]
Scaling properties of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation are studied using satellite (COBE-DMR maps), balloon-borne and ground-based (combined QMASK map) data. Quantitative consistency is found between the multiscaling properties of the COBE-DMR and QMASK CMB maps.

Neutron Monitor Based Incoming Flux Correction for Cosmic‐Ray Neutron Sensing of Environmental Water
Abstract Monitoring of near‐surface water content with cosmic‐ray neutrons is strongly dependent on heliospheric and geomagnetic conditions. Neutron monitor (NM) stations are commonly used as a reference for the incoming cosmic radiation to correct the hydrological neutron signal.

Comments and Summary on the Cosmic Background Radiation [PDF]
This session on the cosmic background radiation is remarkable for the quality of the interesting new results presented and the controversy over substantive issues. This paper reviews the status of measurements of the spectrum and anisotropy of the cosmic background and summarizes what is known of the properties of the cosmic background radiation: its ...

Compression‐Expansion: Miniaturization, Modularity, and Logistics Beyond Earth
ABSTRACT If the Cold War space race culminated in a return to Earth, at present we are experiencing a renewed interest in space. Drawing on fieldwork among people working in the space sector in Sweden, this article focuses on some of the imaginaries underpinning this resurgence and the contemporary commercialization of space. Specifically, I hone in on
