Primordial Nucleosynthesis: Constraints on the Birth of the Universe

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
We review the basic elements of big bang nucleosythesis (BBN) and how a comparison of predicted light-element abundances with observations constrains physics of the radiation-dominated epoch.

Gravitino problem in minimal supergravity inflation

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2017
We study non-thermal gravitino production in the minimal supergravity inflation. In this minimal model utilizing orthogonal nilpotent superfields, the particle spectrum includes only graviton, gravitino, inflaton, and goldstino.

Spaceborne and spaceborn: Physiological aspects of pregnancy and birth during interplanetary flight

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Crewed interplanetary return missions that are on the planning horizon will take years, more than enough time for initiation and completion of a pregnancy. Pregnancy is viewed as a sequence of processes – fertilization, blastocyst formation, implantation, gastrulation, placentation, organogenesis, gross morphogenesis, birth and neonatal ...

Revisiting the minimal chaotic inflation model

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
We point out that the prediction of the minimal chaotic inflation model is altered if a scalar field takes a large field value close to the Planck scale during inflation due to a negative Hubble induced mass.

DAEMON DECAY AND COSMIC INFLATION

open access: yesPhysics Beyond the Standard Models of Particles, Cosmology and Astrophysics, 2011
Quantum tunneling in Reissner--Nordstroem geometry is studied and the tunneling rate is determined. A possible scenario for cosmic inflation, followed by reheating phases and subsequent radiation-domination expansion, is proposed.

Long‐term passive heat acclimation enhances maximal oxygen consumption via haematological and cardiac adaptation in endurance runners

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Figure Legend Endurance‐trained runners completed a 5‐week hot‐water‐immersion (HWI) intervention (≥40°C, 45 min, five sessions per week) and a training‐matched control period in a cross‐over design. HWI induced a 33 g increase in haemoglobin mass (Hbmass) and a 10 mL expansion in left‐ventricular end‐diastolic volume (LVEDV), resulting in a 2.

Alignment of the Starlings: Learning With Generative AI

open access: yesFuture Humanities, Volume 4, Issue 1, May 2026.
ABSTRACT I will argue that answers to normative questions concerning the place of generative AI in learning rest on answers to ontological questions regarding (1) precisely what is happening when a human ‘interacts’ with generative AI and (2) What is distinctive about organic learning as opposed to currently existing ‘machine learning’ (3) What is the ...

Electromagnetic vacuum fluctuations around a cosmic string in de Sitter spacetime

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2017
The electromagnetic field correlators are evaluated around a cosmic string in background of $$(D+1)$$ ( D + 1 ) -dimensional dS spacetime assuming that the field is prepared in the Bunch–Davies vacuum state.

Divergent Position Taking Under Uncertainty With an Application to Chile's 2021–2022 Constituent Convention

open access: yesLegislative Studies Quarterly, Volume 51, Issue 2, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Sometimes politicians must take indelible public stances under unresolved uncertainty about an outcome they cannot control, for example, consider the minority on a proposal that is bound to pass. Counter to the expectations that party platforms converge, and that rational individuals balk at betting against one another, we show this can lead ...
