Self‐care in migrants with type 2 diabetes, during the COVID‐19 pandemic

open access: yesJournal of Nursing Scholarship, Volume 55, Issue 1, Page 167-177, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Introduction Type 2 diabetes is increasing globally and particularly affects vulnerable groups in society, such as migrants. Research shows that type 2 diabetes is a risk factor for severe illness when infected with COVID‐19. Diabetes‐related complications can be prevented with good glycaemic control.

Cosmic X-ray physics [PDF]

open access: yes
The analysis of the beryllium-filtered data from Flight 17.020 was completed. The data base provided by the Wisconsin diffuse X-ray sky survey is being analyzed by correlating the B and C band emission with individual velocity components of neutral ...

Seasonal lake‐to‐air temperature transfer functions derived from an analysis of 1395 modern lakes: A tool for reconstructing air temperature from proxy‐derived lake water temperature

open access: yesThe Depositional Record, EarlyView.
This study introduces new transfer functions, developed using statistical modelling of air temperature reanalysis data and satellite observations for 1395 modern lakes, to translate proxy‐derived lake water temperatures into air temperatures for more accurate reconstructions.

Liquid directional transport surface applied to the spacecraft fluid management system: Fundamentals and prospect analysis

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
Based on the analysis of the existing liquid oriented transport surface under gravity, this review analyzes the feasibility of applying the liquid oriented transport surface to the spacecraft fluid management device by summarizing its transport principle and combining with the existing application environment of the spacecraft fluid management device ...

Probing the BSM physics with CMB precision cosmology: an application to supersymmetry

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
The cosmic history before the BBN is highly determined by the physics that operates beyond the Standard Model (BSM) of particle physics and it is poorly constrained observationally.

New Physics of Strong Interaction and Dark Universe

open access: yesUniverse, 2020
The history of dark universe physics can be traced from processes in the very early universe to the modern dominance of dark matter and energy. Here, we review the possible nontrivial role of strong interactions in cosmological effects of new physics. In

Some Current Theoretical Issues around Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays [PDF]

open access: yesActa Phys.Polon. B35 (2004) 1845-1862, 2004
We address some current theoretical issues around ultra-high energy cosmic rays. We recall that scenarios producing more gamma-rays than cosmic rays up to high redshift can in general only provide a sub-dominant contribution to the ultra-high energy cosmic ray flux. This includes extra-galactic top-down and the Z-burst scenarios. Finally we discuss the

Is it possible to obtain cosmic accelerated expansion through energy transfer between different energy densities?

open access: yes, 2016
The equation of state of an energy density may be significantly modified by coupling it to another energy density. In the light of this observation we check the possibility of producing cosmic accelerated expansion in this way.

Diffuse Boosted Cosmic Neutrino Background [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. D 111, 063016 (2025)
Energetic cosmic rays scatter off the cosmic neutrino background throughout the history of the Universe, yielding a diffuse flux of cosmic relic neutrinos boosted to high energies. We calculate this flux under different assumptions of the cosmic-ray flux spectral slope and redshift evolution.
