Cosmology and convention [PDF]

open access: yesStudies in History and Philosophy of Science Part B: Studies in History and Philosophy of Modern Physics, 2017
I argue that some important elements of the current cosmological model are "conventionalist" in the sense defined by Karl Popper. These elements include dark matter and dark energy; both are auxiliary hypotheses that were invoked in response to observations that falsified the standard model as it existed at the time.

Liouville Cosmology

open access: yes, 2005
Liouville string theory is a natural framework for discussing the non-equilibrium evolution of the Universe. It enables non-critical strings to be treated in mathematically consistent manner, in which target time is identified with a world-sheet ...

Quantum Gravity Effects in Cosmology

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
Within the geometrodynamic approach to quantum cosmology, we studied the quantum gravity effects in cosmology. The Gibbons-Hawking temperature is corrected by quantum gravity due to spacetime fluctuations and the power spectrum as well as any probe field
