A numerical scheme is presented to design a lattice support for metallic components additively built via laser powder bed fusion. Results show that thermal‐induced distortion can be respectively reduced by 69%, 58%, and 50% in comparison to a uniform lattice, a fully solid support, and a truss‐based lattice support.

Estimation of Social Benefits in Cost-benefit Analysis
While examining the cost-benefit analysis related to public policy decisions in the Hungarian and international literature, this paper is looking for the answer to the question of what the methodological principles are according to which the benefit ...

Cost-benefit analysis of aquaculture breeding programs
Background Profitability of breeding programs is a key determinant in the adoption of selective breeding, and can be evaluated using cost-benefit analysis. There are many options to design breeding programs, with or without a multiplier tier.

Possible Value Analysis based on Symbolic Lattice [PDF]
We propose a new static program analysis called program behavior analysis. The analysis aims to calculate possible symbolic expressions for every variable at each program point. We design a new lattice, transfer function, and widening operator to accommodate the analysis. Furthermore, we extend the analysis to interprocedural.

ICP34.5 is one of the most important antihost response proteins. The saRNA‐encoding HSV‐1 neurovirulence protein ICP34.5 clearly mediated the eukaryotic initiation factor 2 alpha subunit (eIF2α) dephosphorylation and significant suppression of innate immune responses in vitro, leading to enhanced expression of the saRNA‐encoded gene.

Interpolation error analysis using a new geometric parameter [PDF]
This article presents novel proof methods for estimating interpolation errors, predicated on the understanding that one has already studied foundational error analysis using the finite element method.

Happiness Research and Cost-Benefit Analysis [PDF]
A growing body of research on happiness or subjective well-being (SWB) shows, among other things, that people adapt to many injuries more rapidly than is commonly thought, fail to predict the degree of adaptation and hence overestimate the impact of ...

FIMCAR XIII: Cost Benefit Analysis [PDF]
Although the number of road accident casualties in Europe is falling the problem still remains substantial. In 2011 there were still over 30,000 road accident fatalities [EC 2012].

Development of 4T1 breast cancer mouse model system for preclinical carbonic anhydrase IX studies
Carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX) is a well‐recognised therapeutic target and prognostic biomarker in cancer. We developed and characterised a robust murine breast cancer model system that is suitable for CAIX studies in vitro and in vivo—it comprises both CAIX‐positive and CAIX‐negative controls and provides a solid platform for the comprehensive ...
