Zein‐Based Adhesives: Sustainable Extraction and Application in Bioadhesive Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Zein is extracted from corn gluten meal using a simple and scalable process with high yield (~90%). The resulting protein is applied in bioadhesives modified with Ca2+ and Fe3+ ions, exhibiting substrate‐dependent adhesion. The findings demonstrate competitive bonding performance and highlight the role of ionic interactions in tuning adhesion ...

Tailored Hierarchical Porous Copper Architectures via Three Dimensional Printing and Pressure‐less Sintering for Next‐Generation Lithium‐Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A hierarchical porous copper current collector is fabricated via three‐dimensional printing combined with pressureless sintering to stabilize lithium metal anodes. The interconnected architecture lowers local current density, guides uniform Li deposition within pores, and suppresses dendrite growth.

Cost savings associated with the adoption of lower-dose everolimus in patients with advanced neuroendocrine tumors

open access: yesESMO Gastrointestinal Oncology
Background: Everolimus is effective in advanced neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) but is associated with substantial toxicity and high long-term costs. Real-world data suggest that lower doses (≤6 mg/day) achieve comparable efficacy with reduced toxicity ...

Cost Minimization Analysis of Analgesics for Tooth Extraction

open access: yesJMMR (Jurnal Medicoeticolegal dan Manajemen Rumah Sakit)
Tooth extraction remains a common dental procedure in Indonesia owing to the increasing prevalence of oral health problems. Despite standard operating procedures and analgesics, pain management following tooth extraction remains a challenge. By analyzing different analgesic options and their associated costs, this study seeks to provide valuable ...

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...
