Therapeutic applications of a novel humanized monoclonal antibody targeting chemokine receptor CCR9 in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
C–C chemokine receptor type 9 (CCR9) is an immune checkpoint in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Novel anti‐CCR9 antibody SRB2 was evaluated in combination with cytotoxic chemotherapy in PDAC cells, patient‐derived organoids, patient‐derived xenografts, and humanized mouse models.

Brand versus Generic Rosuvastatin in Egyptian Patients with Hyperlipidemia; Cost-Minimization Analysis

open access: yesInternational journal of clinical medicine, 2019
Background: Serum level of cholesterol is one of the most vital risk factors for cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Statins are highly effective drugs for reducing serum cholesterol; hence, preventing coronary heart disease (CHD).

Macroscopic modeling and simulations of room evacuation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We analyze numerically two macroscopic models of crowd dynamics: the classical Hughes model and the second order model being an extension to pedestrian motion of the Payne-Whitham vehicular traffic model.

Beyond digital twins: the role of foundation models in enhancing the interpretability of multiomics modalities in precision medicine

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review highlights how foundation models enhance predictive healthcare by integrating advanced digital twin modeling with multiomics and biomedical data. This approach supports disease management, risk assessment, and personalized medicine, with the goal of optimizing health outcomes through adaptive, interpretable digital simulations, accessible ...

Minimal Structural Perturbations for Network Controllability: Complexity Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Link (edge) addition/deletion or sensor/actuator failures are common structural perturbations for real network systems. This paper is related to the computation complexity of minimal (cost) link insertion, deletion and vertex deletion with respect to structural controllability of networks. Formally, given a structured system, we prove that: i) it is NP-

A non‐fluorescent immunohistochemistry method for measuring autophagy flux using MAP1LC3/LC3 and SQSTM1 as core markers

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We introduce an immunohistochemistry method to measure autophagy flux, highlighting the active degradation and recycling of cellular waste. This cost‐effective approach uses tissue samples to track key markers like LC3 and SQSTM1, revealing how cells maintain health or respond to diseases such as cancer. It bridges the gap between research and clinical

Maximum Likelihood Estimation with Emphasis on Aircraft Flight Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Accurate modeling of flexible space structures is an important field that is currently under investigation. Parameter estimation, using methods such as maximum likelihood, is one of the ways that the model can be improved.
