SmallTalk: a novel small‐sized fusion tag for peptide expression and purification
The SmallTalk fusion tag allows for the efficient expression and purification of soluble recombinant proteins or peptides in Escherichia coli. Testing with SmallTalk‐GFP confirmed that the proteins were soluble and folded correctly, while SmallTalk‐Bin1b maintained its antimicrobial activity against various bacterial isolates. This streamlined workflow

Cost-Minimization Analysis of Risk-Stratified Hematuria Evaluation
Background/Aims: Up to 30% of adults have hematuria; however, 5% or fewer have a significant finding such as bladder or kidney cancer. Current guidelines recommend cystoscopy and imaging for all who meet criteria; however, the guidelines acknowledge evidence gaps resulting in substantial unnecessary testing with adverse financial implications for ...

Higher Amyloid and Tau Burden Is Associated With Faster Decline on a Digital Cognitive Test
ABSTRACT Objective A 2‐min digital clock‐drawing test (DCTclock) captures more granular features of the clock‐drawing process than the pencil‐and‐paper clock‐drawing test, revealing more subtle deficits at the preclinical stage of Alzheimer's disease (AD). A previous cross‐sectional study demonstrated that worse DCTclock performance was associated with
