The death of cost‐minimization analysis? [PDF]
AbstractFour different types of evaluation methods, cost‐benefit analysis (CBA), cost‐utility analysis (CUA), cost‐effectiveness analysis (CEA) and cost‐minimization analysis (CMA), are usually distinguished. In this note, we pronounce the (near) death of CMA by showing the rare circumstances under which CMA is an appropriate method of analysis.

Counting the Cost of Daptomycin Versus Vancomycin in Hospitalized Patients: A Cost Minimization Analysis. [PDF]
Abstract Daptomycin use for gram-positive infections has increased. This cost minimization analysis aimed to determine cost and/or time savings of daptomycin over vancomycin. The estimated hospital cost savings was US$166.41 per patient, and pharmacist time saved of almost 20 minutes per patient. Daptomycin has the potential to save both

Analysis of an information-theoretic model for communication [PDF]
We study the cost-minimization problem posed by Ferrer i Cancho and Sol\'e in their model of communication that aimed at explaining the origin of Zipf's law [PNAS 100, 788 (2003)]. Direct analysis shows that the minimum cost is $\min {\lambda, 1-\lambda}$, where $\lambda$ determines the relative weights of speaker's and hearer's costs in the total, as ...

Cost Minimization Analysis of a Running Firm with Economic Policy
In this paper the Cobb-Douglas production function is operated in a firm for the analysis of the cost minimization policies. In an economic world, gain of profit depends on the efficient use of raw materials and use of various techniques of the cost minimization. A firm’s main target is to make maximum profit. Scientific based and efficient but minimum
