The Effects of State Budget Policy on Research University Indirect Cost Recovery Rates and Management Accounting

SSRN Electronic Journal, 1999
This research studies the relationship between state government budgetary policy and research universities' incentives. In particular, this paper examines the effects of state government decisions that effectively tax universities by controlling universities? receipts of indirect cost recoveries earned on federally sponsored research.

Use of Heart Rate Recovery Cost as an Index for Measuring Physical Stress

Journal of the Chinese Institute of Industrial Engineers, 2000
Abstract The objective of this study was to validate the feasibility of using heart rate recovery cost (RC) to evaluate-physical stress under various degrees of dynamic and static task components. Exercise, including walking at three speeds (1.3. and 5 km/h) on a motorized treadmill and holding a box with three weights (0, 5, and 10 kg), was studied in

Impact of voltage reduction on electric utility cost recovery and retail rates in a state or publicly regulated environment

2013 IEEE Rural Electric Power Conference (REPC), 2013
The purpose of this paper is to present an analysis of the Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR) financial impacts to utility cost recovery methodology in a state regulated environment. The impacts addressed in this paper include wholesale purchased power costs and retail energy sales.

Process Development for Removal and Recovery of Cadmium from Wastewater by a Low-Cost Adsorbent: Adsorption Rates and Equilibrium Studies

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 1994
Activated carbon prepared from peanut hulls (PHC), an agricultural waste by-product, has been used for the adsorption of Cd(II) from synthetic wastewater. The adsorption data fit better with the Freundlich adsorption isotherm. The applicability of the Lagergren kinetic model has also been investigated.

EFFECT OF AMBIENT TEMPERATURE ON PHYSIOLOGICAL COST INDEX, HEART RATE RECOVERY, AND RATE OF PERCEIVED EXERTION FOLLOWING A ONE-MILE TREADMILL WALK TEST IN COLLEGE GOING STUDENTS

Indian Journal of Physical Therapy
Background: Sub-maximal exercise tests assess cardiorespiratory fitness(CRF) using heart rate, blood pressure, and perceived exertion. One-mile treadmill walk test (1MTWT) is a commonly used exercise test. For submaximal exercise testing, the ambient temperature is a crucial factor that has to be well monitored.
