Incorporation of Selenium into Sol–Gel‐Derived Bioactive Glass: Influence on Glass Structure, Bioactivity, and its Selective Cytotoxicity

Selenium was incorporated into a sol–gel‐derived bioactive glass to enable sustained therapeutic ion release. The selenium‐containing glass preserved bioactivity while selectively inducing cytotoxicity in osteosarcoma cells and maintaining osteoblastic viability.

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure

Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.

Se documenta la riqueza de especies de aves en la microcuenca del río Cacaluta, Oaxaca, obtenida du-rante 33 días de muestreo; se registraron 110 especies incluidas en 40 familias y 16 órdenes. De estas, 78 (71%) fueron residentes y 32 (29%) migratorias.
