Multifunctional MXene/Chitosan-Coated Cotton Fabric for Intelligent Fire Protection.
ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2021Multifunctional intelligent fireproof cotton fabrics are urgently demanded in the era of the Internet of Things. Herein, a novel high fire safety cotton fabric (denoted as MXene/CCS@CF) with temperature sensing, fire-warning, piezoresistivity, and Joule ...

Cotton Subsidies, the WTO, and the ‘Cotton Problem’ [PDF]
AbstractFollowing an 8‐year‐long dispute over cotton subsidies, Brazil and the US signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 21 April 2010, effectively paving the way for settling the dispute. This paper argues that cotton subsidies are just the tip of the iceberg while a number of other, perhaps more important, issues require attention and, indeed ...

Cotton Fleahopper Damage to Cotton Genotypes
Journal of Economic Entomology, 1974The effects of Pseudatomoscelis seriatus (Reuter) on the fruiting of different cotton genotypes were investigated at several locations in Texas, 1970–72. Glabrous cottons, although infested with fewer cotton fleahoppers than typical hairy agronomic cottons, experienced greater damage.

Cotton Strains Resistant to the Cotton Fleahopper12
Journal of Economic Entomology, 1968Glabrous and hirsute experimental strains of Gossypium hirsutum L. were evaluated in cage. small-plot, and field experiments for the influence of these 2 characters against the cotton fleahopper, Psallus seriatus (Reuter). The glabrous character suppressed populations of fleahoppers below economically damaging levels and was as effective as some ...
