Multifunctional MXene/Chitosan-Coated Cotton Fabric for Intelligent Fire Protection.
ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2021Multifunctional intelligent fireproof cotton fabrics are urgently demanded in the era of the Internet of Things. Herein, a novel high fire safety cotton fabric (denoted as MXene/CCS@CF) with temperature sensing, fire-warning, piezoresistivity, and Joule ...

A biological reactive flame retardant for flame retardant modification of cotton fabric
Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2021A novel, high-efficiency, bio-based flame retardant ammonium salt of arginine hexamethylenephosphonic acid (AAHMPA) for cotton fabric was synthesized and grafted onto the cotton fabric by P–O–C and C–O–C covalent bonds.

Multifunctional cotton fabrics
Synthetic Metals, 2009Electrically conductive fabrics were produced by deposition of a thin film of doped polypyrrole on the surface of cotton fibres. In situ oxidative chemical polymerisation were carried out in aqueous solutions of pyrrole, oxidant and doping agents, at room temperature.

A cotton fabric was artificially soiled and laundered with two different types of detergents at two different wash tem peratures. Samples laundered at 140°F were rated by subjective evaluations to be whiter, softer, and smoother than fabric laundered in unheated water. The type of detergent did not affect the softness or smoothness of the fabric.

Silver nanowire-functionalized cotton fabric
Carbohydrate Polymers, 2015In this study, general functionalization of cotton fabric by loading silver nanowires (AgNWs) on cotton surface is reported. Initially, AgNWs were synthesized by a polyol process and then were conformal coated onto individual cotton fibers through a simple "dip and dry" process.

Fabrication of recyclable superhydrophobic cotton fabrics
Applied Surface Science, 2017Abstract Commercial cotton fabric was coated with SiO 2 nanoparticles wrapped with a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) layer, and the resulting material surface showed a water contact angle greater than 160°. The superhydrophobic fabric showed resistance to water-soluble contaminants and maintained its original superhydrophobic properties with almost no ...
