Spin‐Split Edge States in Metal‐Supported Graphene Nanoislands Obtained by CVD

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Combining STM measurements and ab‐initio calculations, we show that zig‐zag edges in graphene nanoislands grown on Ni(111) by CVD retrieve their spin‐polarized edge states after intercalation of a few monolayers of Au. ABSTRACT Spin‐split states localized on zigzag edges have been predicted for different free‐standing graphene nanostructures.

Single‐Chromophore Homojunction Organic Solar Cells: A Path to Simplicity and Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This perspective discusses how the intrinsic optoelectronic properties of organic semiconductors, their molecular packing in the solid‐state, and internal energetic gradients within a device can enable free‐charge carrier generation in homojunction organic solar cells.

Coulomb-nuclear interference at sub-Coulomb energies

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1981
Abstract The Coulomb-nuclear interference pattern in the low-energy heavy-ion excitation of nuclei near closed-shells can be used to investigate the nuclear mass density at large distances, the nature of the effective transition operator and the presence of higher-order direct processes. Semimicroscopic single-folding calculations are compared to low-

Multiple ionization and Coulomb explosion of molecules, molecular complexes, clusters and solid surfaces

open access: yes, 2017
Intense femtosecond lasers as well as X-ray free electron lasers provide new means to produce multiply charged molecular cations. The fragmentation processes that these high energy species undergo, termed Coulomb explosion, are utilized to determine the ...

New‐Era Polymer Thermoelectrics: Material Innovations, Doping Frontiers, Decoupling Strategies, and Unconventional Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The field of polymer thermoelectrics is entering a new era, featuring breakthroughs in addressing the conventional performance disparity between p‐type and n‐type polymers, pioneering doping frontiers, and sophisticated decoupling strategies. This review explores innovations in molecular design and superior stabilities, bridging the gap from ...

Determining by Raman spectroscopy the average thickness and N-layer-specific surface coverages of MoS2 thin films with domains much smaller than the laser spot size

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology
Raman spectroscopy is a widely used technique to characterize nanomaterials because of its convenience, non-destructiveness, and sensitivity to materials change.

Correlated Charge Transport in an Organic Coulomb Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Advances in the development of organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs), electrically gated organic semiconductors (EGOFETs), and organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) allow for the operation of these devices at very high charge‐carrier densities, where Coulomb interactions between carriers can be expected to become significant.

Coulomb drag [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Coulomb drag is a transport phenomenon whereby long-range Coulomb interaction between charge carriers in two closely spaced but electrically isolated conductors induces a voltage (or, in a closed circuit, a current) in one of the conductors when an ...

Les pulsations du champ magnétique terrestre et des courants telluriques

open access: yesAnnals of Geophysics, 1959
L'étude des pulsations magnétiques connaìt depuis quelques annéesun renouveau étonnant, du còté instrumentai aussi bien que du cotéthéorique (où se développent des idées, issues de celles de Dungey, surles oscillations de l'exosplière).
