This chapter focuses on the Counter-Terrorism Strategy (CONTEST), which is the UK government's response to threats from all forms of terrorism. It demonstrates how CONTEST articulates the strategic aims and objectives which it judges that are necessary in order to stop terrorism and safeguard people from harm.
