Enhancing the d–Electrocatalytic Activity of MXene Through Defect Engineering

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Applications of MXene. ABSTRACT Due to their versatile and tunable surface and bulk chemistry, MXenes have great potential as electrocatalysts for batteries and supercapacitors. When compared with other electrocatalytic processes, in electrocatalytic reactions, MXenes could improve ion diffusion and charge transfer by either providing functional groups

Programmable luminescent platform based on carbon quantum dots enables wavelength‐multiplexed optical data storage and encryption

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
A carbon‐quantum‐dots (CQDs)‐based programmable luminescent platform is proposed for multidimensional optical information encryption and high‐capacity data storage by leveraging wavelength‐division multiplexing. Furthermore, a prototype tri‐layer optical disk is demonstrated, where data written via laser ablation on different CQD layers are retrieved ...

Promise‐Keeping Reputations in an Investment Game: An Experimental Investigation

open access: yesInternational Studies of Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We design a controlled laboratory experiment to mitigate moral hazard problems in livestream shopping when sellers make promises to buyers. In our experiment, the promise‐keeping reputation mechanism allows sellers to send promises to buyers while buyers can observe the sellers' historical promise‐keeping records. Results demonstrate that bare

Failure in Motion: A Framework for Capability Erosion and Institutional Dysfunction

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Drawing on the literature on capability erosion and institutional dysfunction (ID), this study develops a conceptual framework that sheds new light on how the interaction between capability erosion and ID creates conditions for business failure across borders. By articulating two dimensions of heterogeneous capability and resource erosion (i.e.

Stimuli‐Responsive 3D‐Printed Structurally Colored Materials Based on Core–Shell Particle Architectures

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
A novel, structurally colored and pH‐responsive filament for FDM 3D‐printing is presented, which is based on tailored core–shell particles with methacrylic acid as a comonomer in the particle shell. The pH‐responsiveness of the printed objects is achieved due to particle swelling in alkaline conditions.

Analiza criminologică a infracțiunii de contrafacere. Reacția socială împotriva fenomenului de contrafacere [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Institutului Naţional de Justiţie, 2015
Counterfeiting has grown massively in the last 30 years, shaping from an isolated crime into a process managed by the international criminal organizations; from an activity that provides some local needs in a scourge able to undermine economic principles;
