Effect of HBr on Explosion Limits of Stoichiometric Hydrogen‐oxygen Mixture

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Kinetics, Volume 58, Issue 9, Page 646-657, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This work, based on numerical simulations, discusses the effect of HBr as an inhibitor on the explosion limit of stoichiometric hydrogen‐oxygen gas mixture in a closed spherical vessel. The numerical simulation solves the complete governing equations for mass, momentum, species and energy.

The Nonlinear Flow Characteristics within Two-Dimensional and Three-Dimensional Counterflow Models within Symmetrical Structures

open access: yesEnergies
In this paper, we investigate the nonlinear characteristics of the flow in a two-dimensional and a three-dimensional counterflow model with symmetrical structures.

High Melt Fraction Induced by the Dehydration Melting Near the 410‐km Discontinuity

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 16, 28 August 2026.
Abstract The water‐rich mantle transition zone, coupled with the low water storage capacity of the upper mantle, suggests that dehydration melting occurs just above the mantle transition zone near the 410‐km discontinuity. However, the melt fraction produced by the dehydration melting process remains poorly constrained.

Effects of vortex tangle anisotropy in counterflow superfluid turbulence

open access: yesAtti della Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti : Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali, 2019
The physical picture of counterflow superfluid turbulence is a disordered tangle of quantized vortex lines. This tangle is produced and sustained by a heat flux crossing the system. When such a heat flux is high enough, vortices appear and evolve.

Influence of tunnel slope on movement characteristics of thermal smoke in a moving subway train fire

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering, 2021
In this study, the three-dimensional unsteady Navier-Stokes equation and fully buoyant corrected Renormalization-group (RNG) k-ε turbulence model were employed to investigate the influence of tunnel slopes on the temperature distribution characteristics ...

A Practical Protocol for the Auto‐Tandem Isomerizing Hydroformylation: Systematic Optimization and Transferability Across Different Substrates

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 16, 27 August 2026.
Design of Experiments enables systematic optimisation of Rh/BiPhePhos‐catalyzed isomerising hydroformylation of internal olefins, revealing conditions for high activity or linear selectivity. The optimised auto‐tandem process delivers linear aldehydes with l/b‐ratios up to 34.3 and improves the conversion of renewable methyl oleate and many other ...

Application of 2D‐Chromatography System for the Determination of Cosmetic Peptides in Skin Homogenates

open access: yesJournal of Mass Spectrometry, Volume 61, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Peptides are increasingly employed as active ingredients in both therapeutic and cosmeceutical applications due to their high biological specificity, favorable safety profiles, and expanding market relevance. In topical formulations, peptide activity is typically confined to the skin, where widespread dermal proteases may significantly affect ...

Determining fractal properties of soot aggregates and primary particle size distribution in counterflow flames up to 10 atm

open access: yesProceedings of the Combustion Institute, 2019
Experimental investigations of soot morphology are performed in counterflow flames of N2-diluted ethylene and air, up to 10 atm. A thermophoretic sampling device is attached to a pressure vessel containing a counterflow burner where flames with an ...

Synthesis and Recycling‐on‐Demand of Novel Bio‐Based Poly(Ester‐co‐Acetal)s Designed for Circularity

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 8, August 2026.
Fully bio‐based oligoesters with defined terminal groups are designed and synthesized utilizing solvent‐free melt polycondensation. An effective chain extension reaction transforms oligomers into semi‐crystalline poly(ester‐co‐acetal)s that can be hot‐pressed into foils.
