A “Two‐Pronged” Strategy Boosting the Activity and Stability of Nickel–Iron Catalysts Toward Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
A “two‐pronged” strategy has been developed to construct a substrate‐strengthened, organophosphorus‐protected nickel‐iron electrode for efficient and robust OER electrocatalysis. Owing to the reinforced catalyst–substrate interaction and minimized active site loss by organophosphorus protection, the integrated electrode serves as an robust and ...

Pharmaceuticals Made with Hydrogen: A Sustainable and Efficient Approach Using Flow Synthesis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a sustainable strategy for pharmaceutical manufacturing by combining hydrogen, heterogeneous catalysis, and continuous flow synthesis. The development of novel catalysts and their application in a multi‐step synthesis of donepezil enabled a highly productive process with no intermediate purification.

Modeling Supports Combinatorial Effects Between Pharmacological and Non‐Pharmacological Interventions to Prevent Opioid‐Induced Cardiac Arrest

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Few studies have quantified the effects of non‐pharmacological interventions (e.g., rescue breathing) in the setting of community opioid overdose. We extended a previously validated model for opioid antagonists by incorporating the mechanism of rescue breathing, and quantified combinatorial effects between rescue breathing and various formulations of ...

Promoting Sustainability in Healthcare: Unraveling the Mechanism of Diversity's Impact in the Pharmaceutical Sector

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although research on sustainability in the healthcare sector is growing, limited attention has been paid to how pharmaceutical companies can be motivated to engage more actively in achieving net‐zero healthcare goals. This study argues that the breadth of directors' experiences—across educational, industrial, and organizational domains—can ...
