Null Controllability of a Nonlinear Age Structured Model for a Two-Sex Population
This paper is devoted to study the null controllability properties of a nonlinear age and two-sex population dynamics structured model without spatial structure. Here, the nonlinearity and the couplage are at the birth level.

Simulating the impact of varying vegetation on West African monsoon surface fluxes using a regional convection-permitting model. [PDF]
Comparison between the use of varying vegetation fraction and fix vegetation fraction in regional climate models over West Africa: Case study of the Unified Model with focus on three different climatic zones. Abstract This study assessed the sensitivity of the West African climate to varying vegetation fractions.

Using a farm‐scale experiment we investigated how intraspecific variation in flowering phenology and spatial heterogeneity in floral resources affected wild plant reproduction by modifying plant–pollinator interactions at the scale of the plant individual, the local assemblage, and the interaction network of agroecological infrastructures across the ...

Abstract Hard rock aquifers (HRAs) in West Africa (WA) are located within a thick regolith layer. The representation of thick tropical regolith in integrated hydrological models lacks consensus on aquifer geometries and parameter ranges. Our main objective was to determine the knowledge requirements on saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks) to model the

Swell Generation Under Extra‐Tropical Storms
Abstract Storms propagate over the ocean and create moving patches of strong winds that generate swell systems. Here, we describe the dynamics of wave generation under a moving storm by using a simple parametric model of wave development, forced by a temporally and spatially varying moving wind field.

Partnerships between scientists and managers are essential for ensuring that best‐available science translates into effective adaptive management. Recognizing a need to inform ballast water management compliance inspections, a tool was created that automatically estimates relative risk of establishment of non‐indigenous species for arriving ships. This

Muli‐UWB Antenna System Design for 5G Wireless Applications with Diversity
In this paper, we propose a compact Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna system with high isolation for wireless applications in 5G connected devices. This MIMO antenna system with the size of 92 × 88 mm2 consists of two elliptical antennas symmetrically arranged next to each other.

Questioning the Equivalence Principle [PDF]
The Equivalence Principle (EP) is not one of the ``universal'' principles of physics (like the Action Principle). It is a heuristic hypothesis which was introduced by Einstein in 1907, and used by him to construct his theory of General Relativity.
