Effect of Coupled Inductor in Boost Converter

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Research in Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, 2015
This paper does the comparative analysis of effect of coupled inductor in soft switched boost converters using SIMULINK. The comparison of the converter with or without coupled inductor have been done to identify which one is highly efficient in terms of performance, voltage stress, complexity etc.

Combined 5‐aminolevulinic acid and ferric ammonium citrate treatment promotes hair follicle growth by activating dermal papilla cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
5‐Aminolevulinic acid combined with ferric ammonium citrate (5‐ALA/FAC) stimulates dermal papilla cell activity and promotes hair follicle growth. The treatment enhances ERK and AKT signaling, increases hair‐inductive gene expression, and restores dermal papilla function suppressed by dihydrotestosterone and oxidative stress, resulting in enhanced hair

Coupled-inductor-based high step-up DC–DC converter

open access: yes, 2019
A novel high step-up DC-DC converter with coupled inductors has been proposed. The proposed topology includes two coupled inductors, four capacitors, four diodes, and two metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors. Two coupled inductors charge in

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Suppression of lung adenocarcinoma migration through organelle alkalization by human lactoferrin – albumin fusion

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Single-stage electronic ballast using single-coupled inductor

open access: yes, 2019
This paper proposes a single-stage half-bridge electronic ballast with a high power factor using only a single coupled inductor. Compared to conventional high power factor electronic ballasts, the proposed ballast is a simpler circuit with a low cost and

Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Transformerless high voltage gain Y-source converter with reduced switch stress

open access: yese-Prime: Advances in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Energy
This paper introduces a novel Y-source converter, which utilises a three winding coupled inductor and a switched inductor boost module. In contrast to the conventional layout, the Y source converter has a repositioning of the switch from the load side to
