Optimal Controller Design and Dynamic Performance Enhancement of High Step-up Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter for Electric Vehicle Charging Applications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energetica, 2023
Ideally, traditional boost converters can achieve a high conversion ratio with a high-duty cycle. But, in regular practice, due to low conversion efficiency, RR reverse-recovery, and EMI (electromagnetic interference) problems, the high voltage gain ...

Dual-Coupled-Inductor-Based High-Step-Up Boost Converter with Active-Clamping and Zero-Voltage Switching

open access: yesEnergies
Many applications, such as photovoltaic systems, uninterruptible power supplies, and automobile headlamps, need a high step-up DC–DC converter without isolation.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

A Coupled-Inductor Interleaved LLC Resonant Converter for Wide Operation Range

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
In this paper, a coupled-inductor interleaved LLC resonant converter (CI-ILLC) was proposed, which can achieve extensive operation range applications by multiplexing inductors and switches.

Unifying Models for Multiphase Coupled Inductors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
<div>This paper presents a unified model for multiphase</div><div>coupled inductors. By summarizing and comparing three</div><div>different ways of modeling multiphase coupled inductors, including a) an inductance matrix model derived based on self and mutual inductances; b) a multiwinding transformer model derived based ...

The role and implications of mammalian cellular circadian entrainment

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
At their most fundamental level, mammalian circadian rhythms occur inside every individual cell. To tell the correct time, cells must align (or ‘entrain’) their circadian rhythm to the external environment. In this review, we highlight how cells entrain to the major circadian cues of light, feeding and temperature, and the implications this has for our

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...
