An experimental study of EHD coupled heat transfer
Proceedings of Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena - CEIDP '96, 2002EHD coupled heat transfer systems have been investigated using a double electrode cylinder heat transfer model. Freon-11 is selected as the working fluid. The condensation coefficient, the boiling heat flux and the saturation pressure are measured in this investigation.

Coupled Heat Transfer Phenomena in Cavitating Bubble Dynamics
Heat Transfer: Volume 4, 2005Cavitation is an incipient technique that finds application in advanced medicine, engineering and chemistry, where the high temperature and pressure of the cavitating bubbles are used as micro-reactors. However, present models to study the dynamics of cavitating bubbles have ignored important aspects of the transport phenomena, such as the actual gas ...

HEAT TRANSFER ANALYSIS OF GEOTHERMAL HEAT EXCHANGERS IN GROUND-COUPLED HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS
Heat Exchangers, 2006Utilizing the ground as a heat source/sink, ground-coupled heat pump (GCHP) systems have been gaining increasing popularity for space conditioning in residential and commercial buildings. The geothermal heat exchanger (GHE) is devised for extraction or injection of thermal energy from/into the ground.

Coupled heat transfer through an alveolar structure heated by a uniform heat flux
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2019Abstract Coupled heat transfers through alveolar structures submitted to uniform heat flux are little studied, even for cavities with low aspect ratio. This work presents a numerical study of combined heat transfer through an alveolar structure. The hot wall is heated by a uniform flux while the cold wall is kept isothermal at a constant temperature.

Coupled Laminar Heat Transfer and Sublimation Mass Transfer in a Duct
Journal of Heat Transfer, 1968Consideration is given to gas flow through a parallel-plate channel whose walls are coated with a sublimable material. The duct walls are thermally insulated from the environment, with the result that the heat of sublimation is supplied by the flowing gas stream.

Building Simulation, 2008
This paper describes a two step numerical procedure to determinate empirical transfer function coefficients (TFCs) for vertically heated hollow concrete bricks. For such systems TFCs cannot be generated using the analytical techniques available in the literature such as the z-transfer function method or the space state representation method because of ...

Coupled heat and moisture transfer in multi-layer building materials
Construction and Building Materials, 2009A dynamic mathematical model for simulating the coupled heat and moisture migration through multilayer porous building materials was proposed. Vapor content and temperature were chosen as the principal driving potentials. The discretization of the governing equations was done by the finite difference approach.
