An integrated inductor for parallel interleaved VSCs connected in a whiffletree configuration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The quality of voltage waveform of the parallel connected inverters can be improved by interleaving the carrier signals. However, an additional coupled inductors (CIs) are required to suppress the circulating current between the interleaved VSCs and ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Model Order Reduction of Non-Linear Magnetostatic Problems Based on POD and DEI Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In the domain of numerical computation, Model Order Reduction approaches are more and more frequently applied in mechanics and have shown their efficiency in terms of reduction of computation time and memory storage requirements. One of these approaches,

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Interleaved ZVS DC‐DC converter with ultrahigh step‐down and flexible gain

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
This paper proposes a novel non‐isolated ultrahigh step‐down interleaved DC‐DC converter with an extremely extended duty cycle based on the series capacitor and coupled‐inductor techniques. The proposed converter utilizes a three‐winding coupled inductor

Design and analysis of an inductor-less cross-coupled voltage equalizer

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2020
To equalize the imbalance in the state-of-charge (SoC) of lithium-ion cells, we propose a novel inductor-less cross-coupled voltage equalizer for series-connected batteries.

Classical Analog of Electromagnetically Induced Transparency [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We present a classical analog for Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT). In a system of just two coupled harmonic oscillators subject to a harmonic driving force we can reproduce the phenomenology observed in EIT. We describe a simple experiment

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
