Coupled analysis of two-dimensional acoustic and membrane vibration by concentrated mass model

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2016
Some acoustic problems such as interior noise analysis of vehicles need to be treated as structural-acoustic coupled problems because the coupling effect cannot be ignored. To solve such problems, the finite element method (FEM) has been used.

Finite frequency current noise in the Holstein model

open access: yes, 2017
We investigate the effects of local vibrational excitations in the nonsymmetrized current noise $S(\omega)$ of a nanojunction. For this purpose, we analyze a simple model - the Holstein model - in which the junction is described by a single electronic ...

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Green's function of fully anharmonic lattice vibration

open access: yes, 2008
Motivated by the discovery of superconductivity in beta-pyrochlore oxides, we study property of rattling motion coupled with conduction electrons. We derive the general expression of the Green's function of fully anharmonic lattice vibration within the ...

Direct Metal Deposition of Graphene–Ti28Nb35.4Zr Matrix Composites With Enhanced Mechanical, Corrosion, and Biocompatibility Properties for Bone Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Graphene nanoplatelet (0.1 wt.%) reinforcement significantly enhances the performance of β Ti‐28Nb‐35.4Zr alloy. Grain refinement, reduced water contact angle, and improved surface characteristics promote osteoblast adhesion and complete surface coverage after 7 days.

Structural and acoustic response due to excitation from ship stern: overview and suggestions for future research

open access: yesZhongguo Jianchuan Yanjiu, 2017
Several decades after the development of acoustic stealth technology for ships, there remains an urgent necessity to reduce low frequency structural and acoustic response due to excitation from the stern.

Modal analysis of multistage gear systems coupled with gearbox vibrations [PDF]

open access: yes
An analytical procedure to simulate vibrations in gear transmission systems is presented. This procedure couples the dynamics of the rotor-bearing gear system with the vibration in the gear box structure. The model synthesis method is used in solving the

Natural Bone‐Derived Ceramic Scaffolds Functionalized with Chitosan‐Gold, Chitosan‐Magnesium, and Chitosan‐Zinc for Enhanced Antibacterial Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports the development of antibacterial ceramic scaffolds derived from natural bovine bone. The bones were processed through sequential boiling and hydrogen peroxide treatment to remove organic matter, producing porous, mineral‐rich scaffolds.

Design of Hydraulic Induced Bidirectional Coupling Coiled Tubing Drag Reducer

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2020
The low rigidity of the coiled tubing makes it easy to buckle during running or drilling, which leads to increased drag and even locking. To address the problem, based on the Coanda effect and the Carmen vortex effect, a hydraulically induced ...

Vibration of the liner in an industrial combustion system due to an acoustic field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The subject of this paper is a numerical study of the properties of the liner of a test rig to be built in the future. The test-rig consists of a flexible tube of square crosssection surrounded by a pressure vessel, also with a square cross-section.
