Coupling coefficient in antiguided coupling: magnitude and sign control
The coupling coefficient between two passive antiguided waveguides is investigated. A novel approach for identifying the in-phase and out-of-phase coupled modes in an antiguided system through the dispersion curves is described. The coupling coefficient in these modes is found to be real, and its sign and magnitude are influenced by the thickness and ...

dynoGP: Deep Gaussian Processes for Dynamic System Identification
This work introduces a novel class of deep models for system identification, dynamical deep Gaussian processes, which combine the strengths of data‐driven methods, such as those based on neural network architectures, with the ability to output a probability distribution for uncertainty representation.

An estimation of the coupling coefficient of the series inductive resonant wireless power transfer coils [PDF]
Though the power transfer efficiency of the inductive resonant wireless power transfer is relatively high, the power transfer efficiency of the inductive resonant wireless power transfer is undoubtedly depending on the coupling coefficient.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Estimation of coupling coefficient and refractive index for fused coupled fibers [PDF]
Fiber couplers are widely used in telecommunication and industry as a passive splitting power device. The effective power coupling and transmitting from one fiber to another is mainly determined by both coupling length and coupling coefficient.
