A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Design of Magnetic Coupler for Wireless Power Transfer

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
In order to improve the restraint ability of electromagnetic energy in space and improve the coupling efficiency, a magnetic coupler structure with composite magnetic shield is proposed.

Phonon-Coupled Electron Tunneling in Two and Three-Dimensional Tunneling Configurations

open access: yes, 1999
We treat a tunneling electron coupled to acoustical phonons through a realistic electron phonon interaction: deformation potential and piezoelectric, in two or three-dimensional tunneling configurations.

Phenomenological and Physically Based Modeling of Flow Stress and Strengthening Mechanism of Inconel 718

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Nickel‐based alloys are widely used in high‐temperature applications due to their excellent mechanical strength and oxidation resistance. However, properties such as high‐temperature strength and pronounced work‐hardening make them difficult to machine.

Tan's contact of a harmonically trapped one-dimensional Bose gas: strong-coupling expansion and conjectural approach at arbitrary interactions

open access: yes, 2017
We study Tan's contact, i.e. the coefficient of the high-momentum tails of the momentum distribution at leading order, for an interacting one-dimensional Bose gas subjected to a harmonic confinement.

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF MUTUAL INDUCTANCE COMPUTATION TOOL FOR WIRELESS POWER TRANSFER

open access: yesGazi Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Dergisi, 2019
Wireless power transmission systems, which aim to eliminate cable complexity and the difference between the connection terminals of devices, are now widely used in many areas such as mobile phone, toothbrush, shaver and electric vehicles.
