Generator coordinate approximation to nuclear electronic coupling

International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, 1988
The Generator Coordinate Approximation (GCA) is the general approximation scheme for molecular systems devised to improve the Adiabatic Approximation (AA). This is achieved by replacing the familiar product-type molecular wave function by a convolution product-like state.

Metal-mediated coupling of a coordinated isocyanide and indazoles

Dalton Transactions, 2013
A reaction between equimolar amounts of cis-[PdCl2(CNCy)2] (1) and indazole (HInd, 2) or 5-methylindazole (HInd(Me), 3) proceeded in refluxing CHCl3 for ca. 6 h affording the aminocarbene species cis-[PdCl2{C(Ind)=N(H)Cy}(CNCy)] (4) or cis-[PdCl2{C(Ind(Me))=N(H)Cy}(CNCy)] (5) in good (72-83%) isolated yields.

Coordinated behavior between visually coupled dyads

Proceedings of the 2nd Augmented Human International Conference, 2011
We describe how visually coupled people start their synchronized behavior with two visual coupling conditions: view-swapping and view-blending. In the view-swapping condition, two people's views are changed from the first-person perspective so that both see their partner's views. The view-blending condition allows people to see the blended view of both

Excitonically Coupled States in Crystalline Coordination Networks

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2017
AbstractWhen chromophores are brought into close proximity, noncovalent interactions (π–π/CH–π) can lead to the formation of excitonically coupled states, which bestow new photophysical properties upon the aggregates. Because the properties of the new states not only depend on the strength of intermolecular interactions, but also on the relative ...

Hetero- and Under-Coordination Coupling

2020
A combination of the hetero- and under-coordination forms a promising means of mediating the bonding and electronic dynamics and properties of a substance as the hetero- and under-coordination enhance each other on the charge entrapment and polarization.

Bimanual Coordination and Coupled Oscillations

2020
The study of bimanual rhythmic finger movements was among the first problems investigated in dynamical cognitive modeling (HKB model). The phase transitions that can occur with increasing movement frequency are explained on the level of a movement potential.

Coupled Oscillators and Normal Coordinates

American Journal of Physics, 1967
Two blocks and three heavy springs are coupled together and made to oscillate on an air track. The motion of one of the blocks is recorded by means of a spark timer. With arbitrary initial conditions, the motion is complicated. From the masses of the blocks and the springs and from the spring constants, one then calculates theoretically the normal ...

Cylindrical Coordinates Coupled Mode Theory

IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 2010
We present a cylindrical coordinates coupled mode formulation for coupling between two degenerate modes of a traveling wave resonator. The resonator is assumed to have rotational symmetry and therefore two degenerate modes propagating in opposite directions.

Strong-coupling constant in coordinate space

Physics of Atomic Nuclei, 2000
The coordinate-space behavior of (vector) strong-coupling constant in the background field αB(r) is compared with that in standard perturbation theory αv(r). The numerically calculated two-loop coupling constant αB(r) is shown to exceed αv(r) by 1–5% at very small distances, r≲0.02 fm, and to be in agreement with lattice measurements of the static ...
