Modal response coupling mechanism in multi-element coupled transducers
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of AmericaMulti-element coupled transducers (MCTs) effectively reduce their operating frequency through acoustic interactions among closely spaced elements. However, their narrow bandwidth significantly limits practical applications. This study investigates an MCT comprising three axially aligned bender transducers with identical characteristics.

Boundary Element, Coupled Thermoelasticity
2013In this chapter, considering the Lord and Shulman’s theory, a Laplace-transform boundary element method is developed for the dynamic problems in coupled thermoelasticity with relaxation time involving a finite two dimensional domain. The boundary element formulation is presented and a single heat excitation is used to drive the boundary element ...

About Coupling of the Block Elements
2013The block element method gives the representations of the solutions of the partial differential equations more exactly than other numerical methods such as finite and boundary element methods. However it is achieved at expenses of more complicated structure and algorithm of the block element method.

Coupling element for a hearing aid
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1986A coupling element for establishing acoustic connection between a cylindrical hearing aid placed in the concha and a custom made ear plug placed in the auditory canal is formed by a disc-shaped element, which can be rotatably mounted a sound exit nipple on the hearing aid and an angularly bent tube section rotatably mounted on a laterally directed ...

Elements of Couple Psychotherapy and Awakening
Journal of Couples Therapy, 1993SUMMARY A basic premise of this article is that the couple relationship always contains elements of spiritual awakening. “Spiritual emergencies,” fresh love, and new pain all bring with them the potential of spiritual awakening. The limits in our ability to express love, receive love, and to sustain intimate contact in our couple relationship mirror ...

COUPLING ELEMENT OF A COUPLING UNIT FOR A GEAR BOX
2000The invention relates to a coupling element (30) of a coupling unit for gear boxes which is used to rotationally fix a drive shaft with a gear wheel that can be rotated in relation to said drive shaft. The coupling element comprises at least one first element (31) and a second element (32), whereby the first element forms a toothed gearing (12 ...

Finite Element of Coupled Thermoelasticity
2013Due to the mathematical complexities encountered in analytical treatment of the coupled thermoelasticity problems, the finite element method is often preferred. The finite element method itself is based on two entirely different approaches, the variational approach based on the Ritz method, and the weighted residual methods.

Coupled-film arrays have been fabricated on insulated Cu ground plane with 0.004-in.-wide bit lines on 0.006-in. centers and 0.007-in.-wide word lines on 0.014-in. centers, resulting in an unusually high packing density of 12 000 bits/in.2 A sense signal of 2 mV under worst-case testing conditions has been measured at 200-mA word current (6 nsec ...
