Research navigating the course of clinical practice in diabetes

Journal of the American Dietetic Association, 2004
Three of the four largest and, arguably, most important long-term clinical trials focusing on diabetes in the past 2 decades have had medical nutrition therapy (MNT) as a major element of their experimental therapies: the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial and its follow-up study the Epidemiology of Diabetes Interventions and Complications Study,

Autonomous sailboat navigation for short course racing

Robotics and Autonomous Systems, 2008
The paper presents a compact method to calculate a suitable route for a sailboat in order to reach any specified target. The calculation is based on the optimisation of the time derivative of the distance between boat and target and features a hysteresis condition, which is of particular importance for beating to windward.

Navigating the Righteous Course: A Quality Issue

Market Research Society. Journal., 1999
This paper argues that the quality of marketing research will be affected in the long term by how successfully the industry is able to implement industry codes of conduct, in particular the revised MRS Code of Conduct. A Personalized "Course Navigator" Based on Students' Goal Orientation

Proceedings of the 2018 ACM Conference on Supporting Groupwork, 2018
Higher education institutions must understand students' mastery and performance goals in order to guide them in selecting suitable courses to take, so that they are successful. We propose a personalized recommendation system called "Course Navigator" for guiding undergraduate Information Technology (IT) students in selecting course curriculum based on ...

Course quantization techniques for correlation navigation

1977 IEEE Conference on Decision and Control including the 16th Symposium on Adaptive Processes and A Special Symposium on Fuzzy Set Theory and Applications, 1977
Algorithms for correlation-type position fixing are proposed. These algorithms coarsely quantize the stored or sensed data. The algorithms are compared with the mean absolute difference (MAD) algorithm to see if computer storage requirements may be reduced without sacrificing probability of a correct match.
