Wearable Electro‐Thermal Haptic Stimulator Driven by a Self‐Powered Tactile Sensor for Realistic Stimulus Replication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a stimulus‐replicating system combining a tactile sensor with a wearable Peltier thermotactile module and concentric electrotactile electrode. Signals encoding pressure and temperature drive the stimulators to reproduce mechano‐thermal cues on the skin. AlN/PDMS encapsulation and SA/LA PSA ensure mechanical compliance and thermal efficiency.

Interpreting Law Through International Judicial Dialogue by Polish Courts

open access: yesBratislava Law Review, 2020
International judicial dialogue is a new method of law interpretation that gains popularity in analyses of legal scholars and still raises a lot of doubts both on its existence as well as its definition.

From Devices to Systems: Integration Strategies for Micro‐Supercapacitors in Microsystems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Micro‐supercapacitors are evolving from device‐level energy storage toward system‐level functional units in integrated microsystems. This Review presents a system‐oriented design framework in which integration serves as the key link between application requirements, system constraints, device architectures, and material selection. Monolithic and hybrid

Flexoelectric Suppression of Interfacial Carrier Loss in BaTiO3 Thin‐Film Bulk Photovoltaic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In single‐crystalline BaTiO3 thin films, flexoelectric strain gradients strongly enhance photocurrent by suppressing interfacial carrier loss. Loading experiments reveal a ∼35‐fold photocurrent increase with applied force. Self‐consistent electrostatic modeling shows that strain gradients reshape the interfacial potential landscape, strengthen local ...

COMMENT– The Role of Courts in Safeguarding the Best Interest of the Child (Amharic)

open access: yesMizan Law Review, 2019
The best interest of the child is a multifaceted principle governing children’s rights. This principle is tri-dimensional which serves as (i) human right, (ii) a mechanism of evaluation of other rights, and (iii) as a means of interpreting other rights ...

Atomically Dispersed Mo–S Sites Boost NiFe–Layered Double Hydroxide for Industrial‐Level Seawater Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
(Mo–S)1@NiFe–LDH promotes the rapid structural transition to the active oxyhydroxide phase, enabling selective seawater oxidation at industrial‐level current densities. Atomically dispersed Mo–S sites within the LDH lattice efficaciously modulate the structural flexibility to lower the thermodynamic barrier for early‐phase activation.

Ultrathin Aluminum–Air Batteries via Hygroscopic Electrolytes for Continuous Operation of Imperceptible On‐Skin Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents ultrathin, high‐capacity aluminum‐air batteries (AABs) for self‐sustaining, skin‐conformal electronics. By utilizing ambient moisture and oxygen alongside a LiCl‐based hygroscopic hydrogel electrolyte, the design significantly reduces battery thickness while preventing dehydration and Al self‐corrosion.

Religious Identity and Perceptions of Criminal Justice Effectiveness

open access: yesReligions, 2018
Religiosity and attitudes regarding the criminal justice system have remained largely unstudied to date, despite the centrality of religion as an aspect of one’s identity formation. This study tests the hypothesis that perceptions of the effectiveness of
