Some open problems regarding the determination of a set from its covariogram
We present and discuss some open problems related to the determination of a set K from its covariogram, i.e. the function which provides the volumes of the intersections of K with all its possible translates.

ABSTRACT Over the past two decades, weight stigma has remained a pervasive form of bias. Healthcare providers are among the most frequent sources of weight‐based discrimination, with significant consequences for patient trust, healthcare utilization, and outcomes.

Genomic Prediction Ability for Novel Profitability Traits Using Different Models in Nelore Cattle
ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to assess the accuracy, bias and dispersion of genomic predictions for accumulated profitability (APF) and profit per kilogram of liveweight gain (PFT) in Nelore cattle using different prediction approaches. The dataset consisted of 3969 phenotypic records for each trait. The pedigree harboured information from 38,930

Genetic Parameters for Novel Feedlot Profitability‐Related Traits in Nelore Cattle
ABSTRACT This study aimed to estimate (co)variance components and genetic parameters for accumulated profitability (AFP) and profit per kilogram of liveweight gain (PFT), and their relationships with weight at 450 days of age (W450), scrotal circumference at 365 days of age (SC365), age at first calving (AFC), probability of precocious calving at 30 ...

ABSTRACT This study evaluated the influence of variance component (VC) estimates, obtained from different models and two relationship matrices, pedigree‐based (BLUP) and genomic information‐based (ssGBLUP), on genomic predictions of carcass traits in Montana composite cattle.

Abstract The south American silver croaker, Plagioscion squamosissimus, holds significant importance for the artisanal fisheries in the sub‐middle and lower courses of the São Francisco River, located in northeastern Brazil. To investigate the population structure of this species along its longitudinal profile, a total of 150 individuals (50 fish per ...

Abstract Deep‐sea elasmobranchs are less resilient to the increasing scale of anthropogenic impacts such as fisheries, owing to their life‐history traits. The necessity for proper management measures is hampered by the scant knowledge on these taxa and their biology. Here we provide the first comprehensive insight into the parasite infracommunities and

Precautionary Saving against Correlation under Risk and Ambiguitya
Abstract This paper considers precautionary saving against the correlation between two risky attributes (wealth and health) and investigates how the correlation affects optimal savings under multivariate preferences. The signs of higher‐order cross‐derivatives play a key role in determining the direction of precautionary saving against such correlation.
