Gaussian Mixture Model‐Based Data Association Incorporating a Deep Learning Network for Multivehicle Tracking and Detection in Autonomous Driving Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study introduces a real‐time light detection and ranging‐camera fusion framework for vehicle detection and tracking. Using a Gaussian mixture model‐based association and improved affinity metrics, the method enhances tracking reliability in dynamic conditions.

Perception of Safety and Liking Associated to the Colour Intervention of Bike Lanes: Contribution from the Behavioural Sciences to Urban Design and Wellbeing. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
The perception of colour and its subjective effects are key issues to designing safe and enjoyable bike lanes. This paper addresses the relationship between the colours of bike lane interventions-in particular pavement painting and intersection design ...

Estimation and prediction of road traffic flow using particle filter for real-time traffic control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Real-data testing results of a real-time state estimator and predictor are presented with particular focus on the feature of enabling of detector fault alarms and also its relation to queue-length based traffic control.

Are there morpho‐acoustic patterns of adaptation in nonhuman primate ears? Testing the role of ecology and habitat in shaping ear morphology and function

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Analysis of the variation in the bony structures of the inner and middle ear provides critical insights into functional morphology, as well as adaptive morphology across primates. In this study, we investigated whether ear morphology patterns are related to the ecological characteristics of species and their habitats to test two acoustic ...

Distributed Node Simultaneous Localization and Tracking Algorithm Based on Internal Ellipsoidal Approximation Fusion [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2016
To handle the problem of node Simultaneous Localization and Tracking(SLAT) in Wireless Sensor Network(WSN),a distributed fusion algorithm is proposed,to overcome the approximate error caused by Taylor’s expansion, and achieve the desired tracking results ...

Minimum information loss fusion in distributed sensor networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A key assumption of distributed data fusion is that individual nodes have no knowledge of the global network topology and use only information which is available locally.

Functional anatomy, jaw mechanisms, and feeding behavior of Dunkleosteus terrelli (Placodermi, Arthrodira)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
A new musculoskeletal reconstruction and revision of the cranio‐mandibular anatomy of the Devonian arthrodire placoderm Dunkleosteus terrelli from a comparative and functional anatomical perspective. Dunkleosteus is a specialized arthrodire with many specializations for feeding on large vertebrates, and many of its features are part of broader ...

SMC-CPHD Filter with Adaptive Survival Probability for Multiple Frequency Tracking

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
We propose a sequential Monte Carlo-based cardinalized probability hypothesis density (SMC-CPHD) filter with adaptive survival probability for multiple frequency tracking to enhance the tracking performance.

New techniques for old bones: Morphometric and diffeomorphometric analysis of the bony labyrinth of the Reilingen and Ehringsdorf Neandertals

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Neandertals are known to possess very distinctive traits in their bony labyrinth morphology, such as an inferiorly positioned posterior canal and a very low number of turns in the cochlea. Hence, the inner ear has been often used to assess the Neandertal status of fragmentary fossils.

Research of Covariance Intersection Algorithm Based on Unscented Transformatio

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2011
In view of problems existed in data fusion of distributed data observation system, namely bigger error in data linearization process and uncorrecting error in filtering process, the paper proposed a covariance intersection algorithm based on unscented ...
