Hydrological characterization of the Usumacinta River Basin towards the preservation of environmental services [PDF]
The Usumacinta basin is characterized by aboundance of natural and scenic resources. It also houses a vast biodiversity (wich also means invaluable genetic resources). Its river is the longest in Mexico (main channel length of 927 km).

On Coverings and Hyperalgebras of Affine Algebraic Groups, III [PDF]
Over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero, the universal group covering of a connected affine algebraic group, if such exists, can be constructed canonically from its Lie algebra only. In particular the isomorphism classes of simply connected affine algebraic groups are in 1-1 correspondence with the isomorphism classes of finite ...

The standard graded property for vertex cover algebras of quasi-trees
In [5] the authors characterize the vertex cover algebras which are tandard graded. In this paper we give a simple combinatorial criterion for the standard graded property of vertex cover algebras in the case of quasi-trees.

The integrable Bullough-Dodd model under celestial holography
We study celestial amplitudes for the S-matrix of the 2d integrable Bullough-Dodd model. This model has bound states that appear as poles in the physics strip of its 2d S-matrix, which complicates the computation of celestial amplitudes.

Remedies for Misapplications of Sylvester’s Criterion: A Pedagogic Illustration
Sylvester’s criterion, which verifies the positive definiteness of any real symmetric matrix by examining the signs of all leading principal minors, is an excellent analytical tool.

Multipliers and covers of perfect diassociative algebras
The paper concerns perfect diassociative algebras and their implications to the theory of central extensions. It is first established that perfect diassociative algebras have strong ties with universal central extensions. Then, using a known characterization of the multiplier in terms of a free presentation, we obtain a special cover for perfect ...

Abstract Electrification of distillation offers a promising route to reducing scope‐1 emissions from one of the chemical industry's most energy‐intensive unit operations. However, conventional adiabatic columns are dynamically inflexible: Long, energy‐intensive start‐ups make shutdown and restart impractical under variable electricity prices and ...
