Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

The influence of plant density and covering on yield of bell peppers (Capsicum annuum L.)
The effects of plant density and polypropylene cover on the marketable yield of bell peppers were studied at the Experimental Field of the Biotehnical Faculty in Ljubljana. Plants of cv. 'Soroksari' were transplanted in four population densities of 21.8,

Digital images for assessing soil cover of crop plants [PDF]
The main drawback by using crop soil cover in weed harrowing research is that it is assessed by visual scores, which are biased and context dependent. This problem may be solved by using digital image analysis.

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

Simulated Trading for Maryland's Nitrogen Loadings in the Chesapeake Bay [PDF]
We investigate nutrient trading for point and non-point sources for the Bay Restoration Fund in Maryland. We demonstrate how to use the proceeds from the tax revenue to mimic a market by trading high-cost upgrades of sewage treatment plants for low-cost ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Influence of biological fertilizer and plant cover in the physical properties of soil
The physical properties of the soil affect the root growth of the plants, which depending on the restriction level, the culture yield is reduced. The goal of this study was to identify the effects of biological fertilizer and soil cover on soil physical ...

Waste Water Treatment in New Hampshire: Analysis of Nitrogen Treatment in the Great Bay Community [PDF]
This thesis addresses and analyzes the challenge of high nitrogen levels in treated wastewater. As fresh water supplies are decreasing, demand for water usage is increasing, as are pollution levels. Wastewater treatment plants are designed to improve the
