When drawing a 3D object it is sometimes useful to find a rectangle on the screen that completely encloses the object. This can be used to minimize screen-update and z-buffer-clear regions. If the entire object is visible within the screen boundaries, this calculation is easy, you just find the minimum and maximum x and y screen coordinates.

Coverage intervals and statistical coverage intervals
Metrologia, 2004There is potential for confusion between the term 'coverage interval', which is developing a common usage in metrology, and the term 'statistical coverage interval', as defined in the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement. The meaning of a 'statistical coverage interval' is explained further, and possible courses of action are suggested.
