Geotechnical Properties of Cover Beds
2013Abstract The occurrence and spatial distribution of cover beds are decisive for modern hillslope morphodynamics. This aspect is strongly associated with the geotechnical properties of cover beds and especially with their anisotropy. The impact of periglacial cover beds on mass movements, in particular landslides in subdued mountains, will be ...

Weak Covering Properties of Weak Topologies
Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society, 1997In 1980, S. Gul'ko posed the problem whether the space \(C_p(K)\) is hereditarily meta-Lindelöf for every compact space \(K\). Later R. Hanswell asked whether such a space is weakly \(\theta\)-refinable. It is shown in the paper that the space \(C_p(\beta \omega_1)\) is a counterexample to both questions, and \(C_p (\beta \omega_1)\) is not even weakly

A covering property in principal bundles
2018Summary: Let \(p:X\to B\) be a locally trivial principal \(G\)-bundle and \(\widetilde{p}:\widetilde{X}\to B\) be a locally trivial principal \(\widetilde{G}\)-bundle. In this paper, by using the structure of principal bundles according to transition functions, we show that \(\widetilde{G}\) is a covering group of \(G\) if and only if \(\widetilde{X}\)

Small Coverings with Smooth Functions under the Covering Property Axiom
Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 2005AbstractIn the paper we formulate a Covering Property Axiom, CPAprism, which holds in the iterated perfect set model, and show that it implies the following facts, of which (a) and (b) are the generalizations of results of J. Steprāns.(a) There exists a family ℱ of less than continuummany functions from ℝ to ℝ such that ℝ2 is covered by functions from

Topological Extension Properties and Projective Covers
Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1982Introduction. All spaces considered in this paper are assumed to be (Hausdorff) completely regular, and all maps are continuous. Let be a topological property of spaces. We shall identify with the class of spaces having . A space having is called a -space, and a subspace of a -space is called a -regular space. The class of -regular spaces is denoted

Some Properties of Precovers and Covers
Algebras and Representation Theory, 2009Let \(\mathcal G\) be a hereditary class of modules. Then \(\mathcal G\)-covers are characterized in terms of injectivity of homomorphisms into \(\mathcal G\)-precovers and of surjectivity of homomorphisms from \(\mathcal G\)-precovers. Also, the author establishes several properties of (pre)covers of (relatively) injective modules and some relations ...
