Context‐free graphs and their transition groups
Abstract Starting from context‐free inverse graphs, we introduce a new class of groups and study their structural properties. We establish closure properties, show that their coword problems are context‐free, analyze torsion elements, and realize them as subgroups of the asynchronous rational group.

The SIR Model in a Moving Population: Propagation of Infection and Herd Immunity
ABSTRACT In a collection of particles performing independent random walks on Zd$\mathbb {Z}^d$ we study the spread of an infection with SIR dynamics. Susceptible particles become infected when they meet an infected particle. Infected particles heal and are removed at rate ν$\nu$.

Stable Cuts, NAC‐Colourings and Flexible Realisations of Graphs
ABSTRACT A (2‐dimensional) realisation of a graph G is a pair ( G , p ), where p maps the vertices of G to R 2. A realisation is flexible if it can be continuously deformed while keeping the edge lengths fixed, and rigid otherwise. We say that G is rigid if every generic realisation of G is rigid; otherwise, G is flexible. In this paper, we investigate

ABSTRACT Purpose To jointly reconstruct high‐resolution diffusion‐weighted volumes and eliminate slab‐boundary artifacts while preserving fine anatomical detail from undersampled 3D multi‐slab k‐space acquisitions. Methods A bilinear forward model was formulated to describe the 3D multi‐slab acquisition, treating the image volume and slab excitation ...

Electrochemical experiments reveal what happens, whereas first principles calculations explain why. Emerging computational electrochemistry is bridging these perspectives, enabling quantitative understanding of electrode/electrolyte interfaces and enabling the rational design of next‐generation energy storage materials.

A Practical Guide to Mueller Matrix Analysis of Chiroptical Materials
This study presents a unified theoretical framework and closed‐form Mueller matrix expressions for analyzing chiroptical properties across six fundamental polarization properties that lead to different macroscopic symmetries. We provide an experimental protocol to successfully isolate intrinsic circular dichroism from apparent wavevector‐dependent ...

This article provides important geometric formulas for node‐centered, edge‐based schemes in any number of dimensions. These formulas are noteworthy, as they do not require the explicit formation of dual regions. We prove several key geometric results, with a particular focus on the four‐dimensional case, due to potential space‐time applications ...

Analysis of Eigenvalue Clustering Leads to Optimal Scaling in Numerical Radiative Transfer
ABSTRACT We consider a multidimensional polychromatic radiative transfer (RT) problem, accounting for scattering processes in a general form, that is, anisotropic (dipole) scattering with partial frequency redistribution. Given a discrete ordinates (SN$$ {S}_N $$) discretization, we report the corresponding matrix structures, depending on the model and

New discretised polynomial expander and incidence estimates
Abstract We present two applications of recent developments in incidence geometry. One is a δ$\delta$‐discretised version of a particular ‘Elekes–Rónyai’ expander problem. The second is an incidence estimate addressing the scenario in which both tubes, squares and their shadings satisfy non‐concentration assumptions.
