Covert shifts and inhibition of return in saccadic and manual responses
2012In recent, unpublished studies of our institute, we adopted the experimental design of Deubel and Schneider [1996, Vision Research, 36(12), 1827-1837], to assess the effects of covert shifts on saccadic latency. Contrary to the results of the original experiment, we found slower reactions to target stimuli presented at covertly attended locations.

Infancy, 2001AbstractThis study examined scalp‐recorded, event‐related potential (ERP) indexes of saccade planning in 20‐week‐old infants. A spatial cuing procedure was used in which the infants were presented with a central fixation stimulus and a peripheral cue. A peripheral target followed the cue on the ipsilateral or contralateral side of the cue.

2012The Remote Distractor Effect (RDE) is a robust phenomenon where a saccade to a lateralised target is delayed by the appearance of a distractor in the contralateral hemifield (Walker, Kentridge, & Findlay, 1995). The main aim of this thesis was to test whether the RDE generalises to response modalities other then the eyes.
