Relationship between body condition score and body composition in dairy cows [PDF]
Abstract The relationship between body condition score and physically dissected body composition was assessed in forty cull Friesian and Friesian‐cross cows. Body condition score was assessed using the New Zealand condition scoring system which is based on the contours of the cow from its hooks to its hocks.

Automated Cow Body Condition Scoring Using Multiple 3D Cameras and Convolutional Neural Networks
Body condition scoring is an objective scoring method used to evaluate the health of a cow by determining the amount of subcutaneous fat in a cow. Automated body condition scoring is becoming vital to large commercial dairy farms as it helps farmers ...

Genetic Relationship of Body Energy and Blood Metabolites with Reproduction in Holstein Cows [PDF]
Body condition score (BCS), energy content (EC), cumulative effective energy balance (CEEB), and blood serum concentrations of glucose, beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHBA), and nonesterified fatty acids ( NEFA) were measured throughout first lactation in 497 ...

DEVELOPING AN ALGORITHM FOR BODY CONDITION SCORING OF DAIRY COWS
Cow’s body condition scoring (BCS) based on neural network algorithms is necessary to monitor the health and productivity of the animals. To develop an algorithm for assessing the physiological fatness of dairy cows according to the parameters of the fermur heads, the sacrum and the hunger hollow, the authors studied eighty animals on a farm of the ...
