Neutron Electric Dipole Moment on the Lattice
For the neutron to have an electric dipole moment (EDM), the theory of nature must have T, or equivalently CP, violation. Neutron EDM is a very good probe of novel CP violation in beyond the standard model physics.

Direct CP violation in B decays [PDF]
We review recent experimental results on direct CP violation. The hot topic is a measurement in charmless two-body decays of B0, B+. In connection to this the first analogous measurements in Bs0 and Lambda_b0 decays are now available.

Multivariable machine learning prediction of risky alcohol use in contemporary youth
Abstract Background and aims Risky alcohol use in young adulthood is a significant public health concern. Understanding the predictors of risky drinking during this period is essential for prevention. This study aimed to measure the predictive accuracy of ensemble machine learning and identify the most important predictors of risky alcohol use in early

Sensitivity to CP $$ \mathcal{CP} $$ -violating effective couplings in the top-Higgs sector
The observed baryon asymmetry of the Universe requires new sources of charge-parity ( CP $$ \mathcal{CP} $$ ) violation beyond those in the Standard Model.

Biodiversity–food trade‐offs when agricultural land is spared from production
Abstract Biodiversity conservation in agricultural landscapes, the world's predominant land use, could involve sparing, or setting aside, agricultural land from production, implying biodiversity–food trade‐offs. Employing bird species and agricultural data in two panel data sets, we evaluate the extent of set‐aside's trade‐offs in England between 1992 ...

Partial Quark-Lepton Universality and Neutrino CP Violation
We study a model with partial quark-lepton universality that can naturally arise in grand unified theories. We find that constraints on the model can be reduced to a single condition on the Dirac CP phase δ in the neutrino sector.

When you come at the king: Opposition coalitions and nearly stunning elections
Abstract Opposition coalitions under electoral authoritarianism have been associated with greater likelihood of opposition victory and democratization. I argue, however, that coalitions also entail significant downside risks with implications for longer term prospects for democracy.
