CP Violation

open access: yesZeitschrift für Naturforschung A, 1997
Abstract The phenomenon of CP violation is examined, and predictions for its manifestations based on the three-generation Standard Model are reviewed. Applications to the K and B meson systems are emphasized.

Proteome‐Wide Mendelian Randomization Identifies Candidate Causal Proteins for Cardiovascular Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Genetics, EarlyView.
Here, causal relations are examined between 2940 plasma proteins and 19 cardiovascular diseases (CVD) using a human genetics‐based method. 218 proteins are found whose blood levels influence CVD risks, with about half being new discoveries and largely confirmed in an independent cohort.

Baryon asymmetric Universe from spontaneous CP violation

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Spontaneous CP violation, such as the Nelson-Barr (NB) mechanism, is an attractive scenario for addressing the strong CP problem while realizing the observed phase of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) quark-mixing matrix.

KS0 − KL0 asymmetries and CP violation in charmed baryon decays into neutral kaons [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We study the KS0 − KL0 asymmetries and CP violations in charm-baryon decays with neutral kaons in the final state. The KS0 − KL0 asymmetry can be used to search for two-body doubly Cabibbo-suppressed amplitudes of charm-baryon decays, with the one in Λc+

Insurance Expansion During Pregnancy

open access: yesHealth Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We analyze how the abolition of cost‐sharing in health insurance affects pregnant women's gross spending on health care services using an exogenous policy change in Switzerland. Using non‐linear regression, we find that the policy slightly increases average gross spending, contrasting policymaker expectations of no impact on demand.

Adjuvant Radiotherapy in pT1‐2N0M0 Head and Neck Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
pT1‐2N0M0 adenoid cystic carcinoma of the head and neck represents a rare, moderate‐risk disease category with high variation in treatment strategies, due to the inconsistent data on the survival benefit of adjuvant radiotherapy in lower‐staged disease.

Spontaneous CP violation and partially broken modular flavor symmetries

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the realization of spontaneous CP violation through moduli stabilization. In modular flavor models, the source of CP violation is the vacuum expectation values of the complex structure moduli of toroidal compact space.

Is there room for CP violation in the top-Higgs sector? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We discuss direct and indirect probes of chirality-flipping couplings of the top quark to Higgs and gauge bosons, considering both CP-conserving and CP-violating observables, in the framework of the Standard Model effective field theory.

Review on CP violation

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 1994
A phenomenological description of the neutral K and B meson systems is presented. The situation of the current CP violation experiments is described and a detailed discussion of their results is given, followed by some future prospects.
