Enhancing adult hippocampal neurogenesis with lysophosphatidic acid: a proposal for erasing cocaine contextual memory [PDF]
Stimulating adult hippocampal neurogenesis (AHN) has been uncovered as a promising approach in the manipulation of retrograde memories. This work aims to study whether increasing AHN with lysophosphatidic acid (LPA, an endogenous lysophospholipid with ...

Objective Sleep‐predominant network hyperexcitability is increasingly recognized as a potential disease‐accelerating comorbidity in Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, its prevalence and risk‐factors remain debated, largely due to cohort‐specific and methodological differences across studies.

This review explains how biomaterials and nanoparticles can be used to induce or modulate tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs), which are ectopic immune hubs that form in nonlymphoid tissues during chronic disease and cancer. By comparing different methods, the article highlights design principles for modeling TLSs or recapitulating specific TLS ...

Molecular Electroporation and the Transduction of Oligoarginines
Certain short polycations, such as TAT and polyarginine, rapidly pass through the plasma membranes of mammalian cells by an unknown mechanism called transduction as well as by endocytosis and macropinocytosis.

Mechanistic aspects of CPP-mediated intracellular drug delivery: Relevance of CPP self-assembly
In recent years, cell-penetrating peptides have proven to be an efficient intracellular delivery system. The mechanism for CPP internalisation, which first involves interaction with the extracellular matrix, is followed in most cases by endocytosis and finally, depending on the type of endocytosis, an intracellular fate is reached.

Vaginal and rectal microbiome contribute to genital inflammation in chronic pelvic pain
Background Chronic pelvic pain (CPP) is a multifactorial syndrome that can substantially affect a patient’s quality of life. Endometriosis is one cause of CPP, and alterations of the immune and microbiome profiles have been observed in patients with ...

Redox‐Activated Probes Enable High‐Contrast Live Imaging of Native Postsynaptic Scaffolds
Sylives are modified fluorescent peptides for high‐contrast live imaging of inhibitory (gephyrin) and excitatory (PSD‐95) postsynaptic scaffolds in native neurons. Clean labeling requires low nanomolar probe levels, whereas uptake needs micromolar cell‐penetrating peptide (CPP).
